up until now, we have had cross-platform leader-boards (LBs). we are now able to separate them and have done so...but do you like them as they are, or as they were?
vote 'yes' if you want separate LBs for the three main platforms
vote 'no' if you want everyone on one LB
either way, you will still be able to distinguish who has the fastest overall time, and who has the fastest time for each platform.
it's a blind vote - you will see the results to date once you've voted.
the poll closes at midnight on Sunday.
(and it's Mastery, not Mastety, sorry)

I've voted for separate leader boards ( this is a blind vote unless you tell people in a post! ) I think it gives everyone a chance to be at the top, or near to it for their Platform. Comparing the times is still easy and it ends the cross platform time differences. I'm not sure if this is still an issue and they are now all the same, but it cuts out the "well, if i was on windows, I'd be faster than you"  Vote! EDIT: Android users. Pick up your keys and get yourself over to the Mastery Challenges. The quicker you are, the more chance you have of bragging rights to being the fastest Android player! |

Leaning towards one board for efficiency reasons alone. I'll hold off on voting as I suspect it's us on iOS that are the issue here and I don't feel strongly enough about it to vote against others who do feel more so. In Fury we spent quite a bit of time investigating and testing (as best as possible) the platforms a couple of updates ago when we still had new member requirement lists and pro had skewed the originals. Our general findings were that iOS and windows are now the same, and we think android is too but it's our least tested platform and others are still convinced it's behind, so we left a 0.2s difference there at the time. My gut feeling is that it's the same at least on a lot of tracks but there is maybe still something that leaves android slightly behind on others. The metal update was when windows caught up iirc, and since then android has had it too.

I don't care if the times are (or not) marginally different from one platform to another. One leaderboard is more fun for me. We're not talking about TLEs here. To be honest I don't even see one good reason for separate Leaderboards in Mastery challenges.

personally, I look at these as competitive fun - like Klizy - and would prefer we all fight amongst ourselves together on one LB.
if in time it gets too imbalanced, with one platform dominating, then we could consider separating.

Edit - someone has changed/withdrawn their vote - Before I voted there were 10 cast already, I was no 11 & tipped the balance, Now there are 10 voters (incl me) & the balance of power has moved a bit! In the right direction!

I like the competition we have among the platforms. but there are quite a few quick iOSers here, and they may well become dominant. can we try for a month all together, and see what happens during that period? then change if it's not working? i think Admin has the final call on this one really....but if we badger him constantly, klizy, we may get him to agree to a temporary extension. |
